The bold move that changed everything
Natalia Nicholson Google-Certified Digital Marketing Coach Founder of Women in Digital Business
It’s time to stop hiding behind convenience and letting our dreams be snuffed out by the false comfort of the familiar. It’s time to give yourself permission to walk out.
Today, let’s draw inspiration from Clarissa Wright, founder of CNW Digital.
Clarissa's journey began with one bold move: quitting her 9-to-5 job. But Clarissa wasn’t always so courageous. For five long years, she let her fears hold her back, choosing routine and security over fulfillment.
That all changed in 2018 when she decided enough was enough. Her boldness took her from waiting six months between her first and second clients to building a thriving digital marketing agency. Today, CNW Digital is trusted by several beauty and fashion brands, skillfully connecting them with their audiences and helping them scale.
Clarissa’s story is proof that courage can lead to extraordinary transformation.
Reflection: As we close out the year, many of us have silent hopes and aspirations for the year ahead. While I can’t set your resolutions for you, I truly hope you make this a priority: choose fulfilment.
Give yourself permission to walk out of fear, out of limiting comfort, and into the life you KNOW you’re capable of living. ❤️
Question for you:
What’s one bold step you can take today to move closer to the life you truly want?
Book of the Week
In the spirit of finding courage, this week’s recommendation is The Urgent Life: My Story of Love, Loss, and Survival by Bozoma Saint John.
Yes, she’s a famed marketing executive—so I know what you’re thinking: This will be packed with business advice. But this book offers something much deeper. Bozoma shares her experience with grief, including losing her husband to cancer, and how she found the courage to live life urgently rather than casually.
This heartfelt memoir serves as a powerful reminder to embrace life fully and fearlessly. May it spark the courage you need as you step into the New Year.
Video of the week
Next, I highly recommend Luvvie Ajayi’s TED Talk, “Get Comfortable with Being Uncomfortable.” Through lighthearted anecdotes and sharp insights, Luvvie explores what it means to embrace discomfort, push past fear, and step boldly into the unknown. It’s a must-watch for anyone seeking courage. ❤️

Affirmation of the Week
Fear loves to tell us we’re not capable of courage—that it’s unnatural, impossible, and not worth the effort. But here’s the truth:
"I will be courageous. When I don’t know what to do, I can learn. I will not be held back by fear. I am capable, and I will step forward."
Let this affirmation put a spring in your step as you walk boldly into a new and exciting year.🎉
Empower yourself to Empower others
Have you noticed how the people around you feel more inspired when you step into your courage? That’s because when we embrace our bravery and let our light shine, we encourage others to do the same.
