It was the end of 2019. The world was lurching into a strange wave of chaos. And Clarrie Johnson had just gotten laid off from her six figure job. Her world may have as well been falling apart.
The uncertainty she launched into, forced her to ask her self some pretty necessary questions, including: What does wealth mean to me? (Remember her now? A quote from last week Monday’s email? Right! Now you see where it came from.)
It became clear to her that a paycheck, even a fat one, was not in itself, exactly WEALTH. It was too unstable, and gave her a life that could easily be taken away from her.
Before she was laid off, she’d owned a side hustle: a small PR company which she ran with a former classmate. With this new realization that she needed to chart a new course for her life, she decided to take this business seriously. She expanded her clientele, taking clients from all kinds of industries: retail, beauty, sports, even life coaching.
In the process, she quickly figured out one problem that was common to everyone of them, regardless of the industry: There was an abundance of creatives who had amazing ideas, but were struggling to turn their creativity to profitability. That was her light bulb moment! That was when she realized, she could offer more than PR. That was when she deep dived into digital marketing.
Today, as founder of Tap That Digital Marketing, she has been able to propel many of these creatives to their goals, helping them build sustainable, scalable sources of income from their ideas.
Her work has produced pretty impressive results so far, including helping a client increase their revenue in LESS THAN SIX MONTHS! Another client was able to double their revenue and see an upscale they hadn’t experienced within the last ten years!
But most of all, she has been able to create a career that provides the things that truly matter: an opportunity to use has passions to serve others, an income that is actually under her control, and the autonomy to build the life she wants.
Her story is proof that many times, what we think is ‘comfortable’ may actually be stifling us, and being jolted out if it can actually be a blessing, and propel us to find what we truly desire!
